Who we are
Silicon Valley native Indrani Stangl is a law school admissions coach who prides herself on building strong rapport with her clients, using a warm approach and sense of humor. A true wordsmith, she works with her clients to refine the message and build a package that best represents them. Her clients become confident they are putting their best foot forward and get results.
Applying her experience as the associate director admissions at Stanford Law School, her liberal arts education and masters in counseling, Indrani is able to distill the essence of even the most uncertain client through a collaborative process of interview, coaching, conversation, writing, and polishing the final product. She empowers her clients to face the common discomfort of self-reflection until they are able to tell their own unique story.

At Law School Unlocked, our mission is to help prospective law students navigate the law school application process from the very start. Whether you are a first generation student still in college, or a seasoned professional with lots of experience under your belt, we can help you reach your goals for your law school education.
Our Approach
We meet each client where they are. Whether you are just starting to think about applying to law school, or you already have drafts of your essays, we will help you gain momentum until you are at the finish line. From school research, asking for letters of recommendation, navigating the LSAC system, to writing all those essays, Indrani will support you throughout. No question is too big or small, and she will use her expertise to guide you all the way until you are deciding where to enroll.
About Indrani
Indrani Stangl grew up on the Stanford University campus before the label ‘Silicon Valley’ was coined. Her father, a Hungarian immigrant, was the Director of Lane Medical Library, and her mother, an East Indian immigrant, was a psychotherapist in Palo Alto.
The majority of her career, Indrani worked at Stanford in various student services roles that all included an admissions component. She left Stanford as she realized helping people apply to graduate school programs (and specifically law schools) was her primary passion, and became a professional law school admissions coach.
When Indrani isn’t coaching, she is happily in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends. She has also volunteered with the same puppy rescue for over a decade, and lives at home with her husband and two rescue chihuahua mixes, El Chapo and Ivy.
